The Forebodings series constitutes an extension of the Compressed Landscapes. Again, the light is consistently overcast, creating an ambient glow that seems to have no source but, rather, to be part of space itself. And, again, there is a sense of three-dimensional movement. Yet, in these images there is an emphasis on the empty space in the foreground, and with that, a subtle shift in the emotional resonance: something seems about to happen in those palpable voids.
